The wheel on the far left in the den has been modified to accommodate both right-handed and left-handed potters.

There is an electrical switch mounted on the side of the wheel by which the direction in which the wheel turns may be changed.

​

To change the setting, ensure that the power is turned off at the wall.

​

The switch settings are:

​

1. Wheel turns counter-clockwise. This is the default setting for right-handed potters. All the other wheels at the Club turn in a counter-clockwise direction.

2. The wheel turns in a clockwise direction. This setting may be most appropriate for left-handed potters.

The switch has a setting of “0”, midway between 1 and 2. With the switch set to “0” the wheel will not turn.

 

Please ensure that you always return the setting to “1” when you finish using the wheel.
